Okay, theese have nothing to do with each other. They're just music I listen to more often, also after a year or two. "The Infadels" I just discovered recently. They're incredibly powerful... a great mixture of electronica and rock. Made me first think my music taste is changing, but it is probably just expanding...
If you never listened to Bebel Gilberto, give her a try. It's a hot summer tip from me. ;) Particularly the remixes don't grow old, but her originals are simply a class of its own. Think of sorbet icecream.

Bebel Gilberto is good, isn't she? I've only got Tanto Tempo, but i think i'm almost ready for another infusion of her brand of bossanova.
The comment you made about music taste changing... expanding. I get that. My taste in music is very diverse and when i was younger i used to worry that it might be changing to something less/uncool (however the heck one might define 'cool'). But now i realise i don't need to limit myself. If i like something, i like it. It could be the opposite to what i might like tomorrow or next week. With so much music out there, better to embrace one's expanding taste than fret about exactly what or where it's heading.
